The quality manager has a unique role and is often in communication with the owner, the client, and the technicians about how well each clients' needs are being met. Quality managers perform inspections - planned and surprise - and recommend how to "fix" quality problems when they show up in a report. QMs sometimes are in charge of handling complaints, negative feedback, and breakage situations - mainly because the QM will use the new data to evaluate the current policy and procedure and make recommendations to improve them if necessary.
